Ok, I hereby announce that I will be absent for a long time starting november 9th 2010. Because on that day, FINAL FANTASY 13 WILL BE RELEASED!!! Here I was, thinking it'll be at least another year before I'd get a chance to play it, but SE has finally kept their promise by releasing this game just 3 months after the release in japan. Hurray! But Tuesday is a weird day for a major game release. Gonna have to wait 3 entire days for the weekend!!!

The bad part is that SE actually got the nerve to replace the original japanese theme songs by completely different theme songs made by some seemingly popular woman known as Leona Lewis (who won some kinda tv-show, or something?). Am I missing something here? Why does the original song need replacing, and why the hell does SE ruin the original song to make the game more appealing to non-japanese players?

And why, then, is the song so horrible and NOT fitting my final fantasy!? Hearing the song kinda ruined my day, really.

I am in no way againts making an english song for this game. I am, however, against choosing some kinda singer because she's famous and pretty and not because she's actually good at singing or suitable for this. I just don;t see how some wannabe Pop Idol fits this game. And the lyrics don;t fit either.....but maybe that's just because it was a random song picked from her album and not even written specifically for this game....

That's my rant for now, wait for my next journal, it might actually contain something you'd wanna read for a change.....
